Retired Charles takes on a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes the mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. The remake of El agente topo (2020) has many fictional parts that naturally make you think "It’s an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters" and this show hits that mark unquestionably well. Even those who come for the mystery given less attention should be drawn to the humanity that goes into not only the writing but also the performances of all the actors. Props to all the departments involved. Although Netflix has been strict about renewing series lately, I hope they make the most of the opportunity to give them a season 2 as I look forward to seeing more of these incredible characters' journeys.
